AI Content Policy

AI Content Policy for The Asian Bulletin of Business and Social Science Research

At The Asian Bulletin of Business and Social Science Research, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and originality in all submissions. As artificial intelligence (AI) tools are increasingly being used in research, it is important to ensure their proper use in line with ethical and scholarly guidelines.

To safeguard the quality and authenticity of research published in our journal, we have established the following AI content policy:

  1. AI-Generated Content Limit: The similarity index for AI-generated content (text, code, figures, etc.) in any manuscript must be below 5%. Submissions exceeding this threshold will be automatically rejected, as they do not meet our standards of originality and scholarly contribution.

  2. Disclosure of AI Usage: Authors are required to clearly disclose if any AI tools were used during the preparation of the manuscript, whether for data analysis, language support, or other tasks. While these tools can assist in certain aspects, the manuscript’s primary intellectual and analytical contributions must be the work of the authors.

  3. Human-Led Research: All submitted manuscripts must reflect original human insight, analysis, and scientific contribution. Submissions that rely heavily on AI-generated content will not be considered for publication, as they do not fulfill our criteria for human-driven research.

  4. Ethical Compliance: The use of AI tools must fully comply with our ethical guidelines on research integrity and authorship. Plagiarism or excessive reliance on AI-generated content is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate rejection.

We believe that AI can be a helpful tool in supporting research, but it must be used responsibly. The key elements of academic work—originality, critical thinking, and creativity—must remain driven by human expertise.
